Lauderdale County churches are planning to host a county-wide crusade later this month, the first in 20 years.
Organizers say it's an opportunity to show Jesus to the community through a variety of events over a four night period. They include national recording artist Larnelle Harris, Christian radio host Rick Burgess, as well as award winning humorist and juggler Dana Tinson. Crusade officials say they have set a goal of 1,000 new believers for the event.
"The power of the gospel, changing people's lives one person at a time," Northcrest Baptist Church Pastor Dan Lanier says. "And it changes families. Lives are changed, homes are changed. And that's what it's all about. God is going to use this to meet the needs of multitudes of people."
The crusade kicks off April 15th at the Lauderdale County Agri-Center and runs through April 18th and will feature evening events beginning at 7:00 each night..
