The Meridian location treated officers on duty at the Meridian Police Department to a free lunch.
It was a way to say thanks for the job they do on Labor Day and throughout the year.
"For us as a corporation, as a company, it's all about our community and all about the people who are living in the community," said Kazi Islam, general manager of Olive Garden. "And you know, we can't ask for anybody else better than, you know, looking up to our police departments and fire departments and stuff like that. And they are the one who supports us support us all through the year. And then we come in and show our appreciation for that one day."
This is the ninth consecutive year Olive Garden has provided free lunches to public servants on Labor Day.
