The American Red Cross asked community leaders Friday to take a lesson from what they do every day.

The Key Chapter invited some of the key leaders in this community to breakfast for an information session on what the organization does to help this local community.

"It's important that our community leaders know what the Red Cross does," said board member Tim Moore. "They have a part of it. They provide insight to those needs and become a part of the process, and that doesn't always involve a checkbook."

The Key Chapter of the American Red Cross is one of 17 member agencies of The United Way, which is currently in the middle of its annual fundraising campaign.
