Aldersgate Retirement Community was the place to be Wednesday night.

Members of 186th Air Refueling Wing of the Mississippi Air National Guard Non Commissioned Officer Association held its second annual "Dancing with the Greatest Generation" Valentine's Dance".

Officers attended in their dress uniforms to dance and spend time with the residents of Aldersgate.

"They still feel vibrant. They still feel like they have a life and some independence and they are enjoying themselves and providing happiness for others, too," said Aldersgate activities director, Kathy Anderson. "Because these people that are helping to put this on are getting as much enjoyment as the residents are. "

Coordinators said it was a way to share appreciation for our greatest generation.
