Meridian's Salvation Army is raising money to help make Christmas merry for 600 families in our area.
The familiar red kettles and ringing bells have been out since Nov. 17. Workers say every third person or so will drop a donation in the bucket.
Those who give say it's just the right thing to do.
"Because how I do is, what if I was in that predicament, didn't have any money. So I just wanna give," said Delshon Dudley, a supporter of The Salvation Army.
Those kettles will be set up through Dec. 23.
