Kutless Concert Benefits Habitat for Humanity

Members of the Martin Luther King celebration committee announced plans for the upcoming weekend.
The celebration begins Friday and will continue through Monday afternoon.
Organizers say it's important to remember what Dr. King did for this nation, and this weekend will do that appropriately.
Meridian Community College will hold its annual service Friday at 11 a.m. the school is closed on Jan. 15, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
At 11:30 a.m. Friday, Mission Meridian hosts its unity luncheon at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church.
On Friday night, the MSU Riley Center will host the annual Martin Luther King Gala at 7 o'clock.
On Sunday, the annual candlelight vigil and celebration will begin at 6 p.m. at the old Baptist seminary building.
MLK celebrations will culminate on Monday with a prayer breakfast at 7:00 at the Boys and Girls Club. The downtown parade will begin at noon and it will conclude with a 1:30 p.m. program at Dumont Plaza.
