You've probably noticed the leaves are falling. You may have already begun raking from your yard.

And the city of Meridian has begun its leaf pick-up season. For the next four months, it will collect leaves that are raked to the edge of the street.

The city asks that leaves be kept separate from other yard waste. The city can only collect small limbs and they must not be mixed with leaves.

Officials also ask that residents don't put their leaves in the street, because it creates a traffic hazard.
