Business After Hours Honoring Broadmoor Mart's Birthday

There was a big birthday party Thursday evening celebrating 50 years for the shopping center that started it all in North Hills.
The East Mississippi Business Development Corporation held its business after hours event at Broadmoor Mart Thursday evening. It was a way to honor that strip mall, which was the first of its kind in the state.
Owners of the shopping center say support of the community has helped with the center's growth.
"It is definitely special. We appreciate all of them coming because it goes to show people remember the course of the history of this shopping center. And we know it can continue to be a vibrant part of North Meridian," says Barbaree Heaster, one of the owners of Broadmoor Mart.
Business after hours started at 5 and lasted until 7. Owners of Broadmoor Mart say it was the perfect way to celebrate.
