And another church held their annual fall festival Sunday, but this year it was recharged.
Members of the Central United Methodist Church always have a fall festival. This year, however, they decided to hold it in a block party style 'Trunk-or-Treat'. All of the Sunday school classes were involved in the event, including young groups and adult Sunday School Classes. This made the block party an experience for all age groups.
"Our youth came to bat for us in that they provided a lot of our music and live entertainment. It's been everything from our youth to older adults have participated," Sabrina Williams, the Director of the Children and Family Ministries.
"We try to stress to our youth, to our students, to give back always. So we decided to take their talents through music, and manning some of the cars, and help by giving out candy to some of the younger students," explains Jim Cane, the Student Minister.
Now this festival featured pumpkin painting, face painting, blow ups, and of course, games!
