Christmas shoppers swarmed Highland Baptist Church Saturday.
They were there to check out what items vendors had to offer at Christmas in the Highlands. A total of 70 vendors were there. Buyers and sellers say this is where unique gifts can be found with a good festive environment.
"It started out as a way for people with home-based businesses to get together and to show what they have and what they make. It's just grown and grown every year," describes Sandra Dennis, the Assistant Director of Christmas in the Highlands.
Organizers of Christmas in the Highlands say it creates a Christmas marketplace for those people who operate businesses out of their homes. They say this is their way of kicking off the holiday season. It is an annual event.
