"College Connect" Helps Future Students

Meridian, Miss. .
Two local colleges teamed up Tuesday to provide just about everything a prospective college student could need, even giving away scholarships. Meridian Community College and MSU Meridian hosted the 2014 "College Connect" at MCC's MultiPurpose Building. The event provides assistance with admissions, financial aid, scholarships and more. MCC's Financial Aid Director, Nedra Bradley, says the event makes it easy for students to get started on their futures. "As a community, we need people to come and get their education, and bring more jobs and things to Meridian, and that will indeed spike our economy," said Bradley. "College Connect is something that is beneficial both to the student and the college. It increases our recruitment and also let's the students find out information about the schools."
