Kutless Concert Benefits Habitat for Humanity

Local Boy Scouts and members of the Knights of Columbus Thursday night held their annual flag retirement ceremony.
They solicited worn and damaged flags from local businesses, counties, and governmental agencies from across the state.
Boy Scout leaders say the ceremony teaches the young men about core values.
"Oh, I think it teaches the boys the values that we want them to learn about our country and the history of our country and what our flag stood for. The boys understand that we value our freedoms and this is one way to show it," said Frank Polizzi, a committee member of Boy Scout Troop and Pack 7.
Individuals also gave the scouts flags. In all, they retired close to 250 flags Thursday evening.
