That 2nd Annual Clean Sweep will be Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Meridian Main Street said it's looking for volunteers to help. Church groups, businesses, organizations and individuals are encouraged to lend a hand.
"We've got other activities going on this weekend that are a lot of fun," said Main Street executive director, John McClure. "You've got the Soule' Live Steam Festival and then the Rail Fest down at the railroad museum, so we'd hope that people would come volunteer, work in the morning, clean up and then have a good time participating in those events as well."
The cleanup will target the area from the downtown railroad tracks to 14th Street, and from 18th Avenue to 26th Avenue.
