Members of the Meridian-Lauderdale County NAACP meet Saturday in downtown Meridian to discuss specific concerns they have.
Members say they are worried about the court system. They believe certain elements of the court system are corrupt.
"There's a long standing in our community of not coming out and voicing our concerns in situations that happen in our lives. if not for people reaching out to the NAACP and other organizations, we would not be able to bring these situations and circumstances to the forefront. we're just asking right now, that we all go into prayer, we meet together as one unified force within the community to bring all of these challenges, all of these situations to pass," says Reverend Milton Johnson, the President of the Meridian-Lauderdale County NAACP.
Members are asking anyone who feels they have been unjustly treated in the court system to reach out to this organization.
