Member of Meridian's Highland Baptist Church are working hard on a long time tradition of the church in order to get ready for the holiday season.

This year brings in the 26th addition of the 'Singing Christmas Tree' at Highland Baptist Church. Members of the church say that many people think it is the same thing every year. But this year there are many new elements.

"We have, a youth choir that will do a number in the middle. We're adding some hand bells and we're actually having a Wednesday night presentation specifically for pre-schoolers. The Wednesday night is actually dress rehearsal. We really need them to come Wednesday night," says Franklin Denham.

The 'Singing Christmas Tree' runs Thursday, December 9th through Sunday, December 12th. There will be six presentations. The Thursday and Friday presentations will start at seven in the evening. There will be two presentations on Saturday and Sunday. One starting at 4p.m. and the other starting at 7p.m.
