Meridian, Miss. Staff from T.J. Harris Elementary School visited Frank Berry Courts on 8th Street to hand out flyers promoting an upcoming informational session with parents set for Thursday. The meeting will be in the meeting room at Frank Berry Courts.
The sessions will provide information regarding code of conduct for students and corrective strategies, or Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS). Organizers say they want to see a good turnout.
"On Thursday, Jan. 16, we will be having a parent information rally so we're out today passing out flyers trying to promote and try to get all of our parents to come out and get involved and find out what good things we have going on at T.J. Harris Elementary," said Tanyera Patton, PBIS coordinator.
All sessions will be from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Other sessions will be held Jan. 23 at Carousel Place and Jan. 30 at the T.J. Harris Elementary cafeteria.
