Meridian, Miss. It's being called the season of all seasons. Thursday night, the MSU Riley Center in Meridian unveiled its spring and summer season of performers.
A number of high profile musicians, most notably Tony Bennett, are set to headline the new season, which is arguably the biggest and best season yet.
"I keep looking at this list and I'm just, it just blows me away," MSU Riley Center Executive Director Dennis Sankovich says. "With all the different facets of it."
Amy Grant is another well known musician and she will perform on Friday, May 2nd. Then on Saturday, May 31st, fans of Clint Black will be in for a treat when the music star takes to the stage. Other big names include Eric Benet on Thursday, June 26th. Perhaps one of the more exciting performances will take place on July 26th when Tony Bennett performs.
"That's, that was a tough one," Sankovich admits. "And it's still, you know, it's not an easy thing because it's not just money. It's not just, there are a lot of things to put in place when you're dealing with such a world renowned artist as Tony."
The MSU Riley Center tells Newscenter 11 it is debuting a brand new website where fans will be able to go for more information about purchasing tickets. You can also get a complete list of the spring and summer season there. The address is www.msurileycenter.com.
