United Way of East Mississippi kicked off its Pacesetter Campaign Thursday to get momentum going for a successful year of fundraising.
Local company CEOs gathered to learn more about United Way and its agencies.
Eddie Kelly is chairman for this year's Pacesetter Campaign.
He says the goal is to get the heads of local companies to engage their employees in supporting the mission of United Way.
"We want them to be a visible in the community," said Kelly. "We want the actual CEOs to be a part of their campaign, and we also want them to show their support in that way."
United Way helps support eleven non-profit agencies in the community. If you'd like to volunteer or donate, call 601- 693-2732.
