A Meridian woman, and also an employee here at WTOK, had the chance to participate in the largest marathon in the entire world.

Evelyn Watkins successfully finished the New York Marathon Sunday. She finished in five hours and 13 minutes. Watkins ran the race in support of her cousin Gracie, who has cystic fibrosis.

The race draws more than 100,000 applicants every year.
