Burst water pipe shuts down library

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - The Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library had to close early Tuesday due to a loss of water service.

Director Barbara Gough says a pipe that serves the building burst, so the library has no water. It also lost heat, she says, because the heating system also uses water to function.

The library closed at 3 p.m. Tuesday and will definitely be closed Wednesday. The status for the rest of the week is unknown as of this posting.
