EMBDC Home and Garden Show attracts large crowd

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - The EMBDC Home and Garden Show was packed Thursday as people were getting to know what Lauderdale County has to offer.

More than 70 vendors have been here at MCC’s Tommy Dulaney Center since 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning showing off what they do. At the stage, there have been special guest speakers. Clint Harp talked about his life as a "fixer upper". Other presentations included demos. One local vendor says this is an amazing way for the community to know their options.

"It's been great. I've seen people I haven't seen in years. This is really promoting my business and a lot of people are interested. They wanted to buy my whole booth and I can't sell it," Planted Landscape owner Justin Branton says.

In addition to garden and landscaping, there are realestate, fudge, drink, and food vendors giving some samples to those who stop by.

WTOK has a booth setup. Newscenter 11 will be here until the event wraps up around 7 p.m.
