SELMA, Ala. (AP) -- Officials say a fire in Selma that killed a mother and her daughter with cerebral palsy was intentionally set.

The Selma-Times Journal reports (http://bit.ly/2gtvTSE ) lab tests from the Thursday fire came back positive on Friday, showing that the deadly fire that killed Katrina Moore and her 20-year-old daughter, Coleman Moore, was arson.

Lt. Sam Miller with the Selma Police Department says he's never seen someone intentionally set fire to a house with people inside.

Five people were in the house at the time the blaze started.

The daughter was pronounced dead on the scene, and the mother died later at the hospital.
