Former EMCC RB charged in fatal stabbing

ALCOA, Tenn. - Former East Mississippi running back Isaiah Wright was arrested in Tennessee Wednesday night and charged with one count of criminal homicide.

Wright, and his older brother, Camion Patrick, were both charged in connection with the July 25 death of 18-year-old Caleb Thomas Radford. the Alcoa (Tenn.) Police Department announced Thursday.

Patrick, a student at Indiana University, was arrested Wednesday night by campus police, awaiting extradition back to Tennessee. He was suspended by the university on Thursday.

A star of the Netflix Original Series, "Last Chance U", Wright was a popular figure in the first two seasons of the show. One of the most covered story lines in the second seasons was his battle with injuries during season, along with searching for a school to sign with following graduation.

Wright enrolled at Division II West Georgia following the 2016 EMCC season, but by the time summer came to a close, he was no longer on the roster.

Patrick also starred at East Mississippi, leading the Lions to a national title in 2014 before enrolling in IU at the beginning of 2015. Academics, however, kept him on the scout team for that season. He would appear in 10 games in 2016 before being granted a medical hardship, effectively ended his football career.
