Mississippians are seeing the lowest Labor Day gas prices in more than a decade.
GasBuddy. com says prices have fallen once again below $2.00 per gallon in Mississippi, dropping about two cents in the last week.
Those prices are still about a dime per gallon higher than they were this time last month, but they're a nickel lower than they were this time last year. Gas prices haven't been this low on Labor day in twelve years.
The average price in Mississippi is $1.98 per gallon. It's a cent lower than that in Alabama. The national average is currently $2.20 a gallon.
