NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A guilty plea in a 2015 slaying will put a 75-year-old New Orleans man behind bars for 20 years.

New Orleans District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro's office said Friday that Donald "Bilal" Williams pleaded guilty to manslaughter and obstruction of justice, averting a second-degree murder trial.

Williams was charged in the shooting death of 45-year-old Oliver Lloyd in February 2015, and with attempting to hide the weapon at a relative's house.

Cannizzaro's office says the plea agreement was approved by the victim's family. It includes a 17-year manslaughter sentence, to be served concurrently with a 20-year obstruction sentence.

Police said Williams pulled a gun and shot Lloyd once in the back following a dispute at a mosque.
