Lauderdale Co. Habitat for Humanity puts on fundraiser

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Ladies put on their best hats and dresses Saturday for the third annual High Tea and Silent Auction fundraiser.

This tea is put on in effort to raise money for Lauderdale County’s Habitat for Humanity organization. This year the money will go toward finishing the Women’s Build House project. The items in the silent auction were donated by many stores in Meridian. Organizers say this tea is a great way to bring people together for a good cause.

"We’re going to continue to doing this because it seems to be a very good time to bring women together and have some food, fun and fellowship. All in name of raising money for habitat,” says Monica Bradley, Ex. Director for Habitat for Humanity.

Mississippi's Miss Hospitality, Anna McDaniel, provided entertainment at the tea and also signed autographs.
