MFD uses jaws of life in car accident rescue

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Two people were rushed to local hospitals after a wreck in Meridian late Tuesday night.

It happened at about 10:45 p.m. on 23rd Avenue near Anderson Hospital. Meridian Fire Department was called to the scene to use the jaws of life to get someone out of one of the vehicles. Newscenter 11 crews saw two people being loaded into two different ambulances. There's no word yet on what caused the wreck, or the extent of the injuries.
