MPD investigates string of armed robberies

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Meridian police are tracking down leads in the latest in a string of armed robberies.

Police say a store was robbed Friday night. The call came in just before 10:00 p.m. Friday from the Grandview Gas-N-Go.

Police immediately canvassed the area for evidence or a suspect. Sergeant Dareall Thompson says the suspect was a younger black male standing just under 6 feet tall wearing a black hoodie.

Thompson says they believe the suspect in this case also robbed the Nixie earlier this week and last month.
