Man searching for lost service dog in Meridian

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - A $500 reward is being offered for finding a lost service dog in Meridian.

Brian Conaway says Lindy, his service dog, was tied to a sign outside the Kangaroo gas station on Roebuck Drive when she got scared and ran away. He says she ran across the street to the La Quinta hotel and into the woods. Conaway has been searching for her since. He suffers from post traumatic stress disorder and says losing Lindy is really hard on him.

"I was very depressed before I got her, and over the last couple of years she has really been like the best thing in my life. Losing her is one of the worst things that's ever happened to me," said Conaway.

Lindy is a wire haired terrier. She should be wearing a red harness with a green collar and a black leash. If you see her, you can contact Conaway at (207) 747-7457.
