BLACKTON, Ark. (WTOK) - The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation confirms that Jerry Glenn Willis, 43, was arrested by Arkansas state troopers Friday afternoon.

Troopers found a 2014 Nissan Rogue burning in the 2000 block of Highway 49 about 1:15 p.m. That's the vehicle authorities believed Willis had taken from the victim.

Willis was taken into custody without incident at about 2 p.m. and is being held in the Monroe County, Ark., Jail awaiting extradition to Mississippi.

Willis faces charges of attempted murder, felony taking of a motor vehicle and kidnapping.

A nationwide manhunt started Wednesday after Willis’ girlfriend was found burned alive on Highway 11 in Pearl River County.

The preliminary investigation indicates 46-year-old Stacy Mitchell Frank had been doused with gasoline, set afire and left beside the road. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is still undergoing treatment.
