Mississippi Singing Churchmen in the Queen City

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - The Mississippi Singing Churchmen came to the queen city Tuesday night to spread God's word through music.

The group gets together about four times a year and rotates traveling the northern, southern, western, and eastern parts of the state. There were about 50 of the 190 members performing tonight. Reverend Franklin Denham says that the main purpose for performing is to just share the gospel with people everywhere.

"So [Tuesday night] we're sharing the music, that’s sacred music. We're Baptist ministers of music from all over the state. "

25 members will be traveling to Cuba next week on a mission trip.
