LAUDERDALE, Miss. (WTOK) - The rain seemed to hold off for night one of the 85th semi-annual Ralph Morgan Rodeo.

The stands were packed as cowboys and girls of all ages came out to enjoy everything the rodeo has to offer. Contestants participated in different events including barrel racing and bull riding. Rodeo officials say they get competitors from all over the world to take part in this rodeo.

"We get contestants from anywhere all over the U.S. A couple of years ago we had a gentlemen from Australia. We've had one person from Hawaii one time. You just never know who the cowboy or cowgirl is going to be,” says Linda Clayton, Ralph Morgan Rodeo advertiser.

Saturday night will be night two of the rodeo. Tickets are $12 for adults and children eight and under are $8.
