MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - The rich history of the Queen City was on display in the form of a play Saturday night.
The Rosehill Revue was performed for the second year. The play is modeled for the stage from the Rose Hill Cemetery Tour. That tour will take place on the last Saturday of September. One of Saturday’s performers says this is a great way to learn about Meridian.
"The stories are factual and researched. The story is put on in play form in an entertaining manner. It enables those who cannot go to the cemetery to do the tour. They can see it here in the air conditioning and watch it on stage," Carolyn Starnes who portrays Marjorie Austin Woods.
Another showing is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday.
