Salvation Army prepares for Red Kettle campaign

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Your holiday season shopping trip wouldn't be complete without the familiar sound of a ringing bell.

The Salvation Army will soon kick off its Red Kettle campaign.

Volunteers will be set up at Bonita Lakes Mall and other local stores with red kettles to accept donations.

The money raised will provide the less fortunate with food, toys, and clothing during the holiday season.

Maj. Young Kim says the campaign kicks off Nov. 10. Seasonal workers are still needed to ring the bells.

"Any time somebody wants to work, they can come sign up and fill out an application and you can work," said Kim.

The Red Kettle campaign will continue through Dec. 23.
