Strength team ministers for Christ

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Singing Brakeman Park was full of praise, worship and smashing Friday night as Unite Meridian held its monthly worship service.

"We’ve come out for a time of worship and fellowship and celebrating Jesus and having a great time together." says Unite Meridian volunteer Craig Espey.

Unite Meridian decided to do something a little bit different and unique this month by bringing in the 'Strength Team'.

"They have come from all over the world doing incredible feats of strength and sharing about how the Lord has done great things in their life" says Espey.

The team went to local schools Friday morning to talk to students about anti-bullying and making good life choices.

"It's extremely important in many ways. First of all spiritually, we are only here temporarily," says team member John Anderson."This is just a temporary resting spot. It is also important physically and community-wise, because a lot of these youth do not know what is it like to have a good role model."
