MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - It will be business as usual for Meridian Public Schools after an EF-2 tornado damaged one of the district's campuses.

In a statement released by the district, teams have assessed the damage done to Magnolia Middle School and have concluded the school will be operational come Monday morning.

The district urges caution to those walking to and from school. They are wanting parents to remain vigilant and use extra caution when traveling the roads near Parkview Elementary and Magnolia Middle School.

Cleanup crews were seen at the campus Sunday afternoon. A large portion of the auditorium suffered extensive damage from the tornado. The Magnolia Baseball Field received damage as well.
