MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - We will continue to see patchy showers and the occasional storm as we go into the overnight hours tonight. With this we will see mostly cloudy skies and lows staying in the low to mid 70s. Tomorrow will be similar to today as showers and storms will be spotted across the viewing area. Expect partly sunny conditions with highs in the low to mid 90s and lows in the low to mid 70s.
Conditions begin to clear up on Tuesday making way for mostly sunny skies in the afternoon. Highs will rise closer to mid-90s and heat indices will be near 100. Heat, humidity, and pop-up storms in the late afternoon are in the forecast for Wednesday as well. Highs will reach middle 90s with feels like temperatures exceeding 100 degrees. Thursday brings a greater chance for showers and storms throughout East Mississippi. Partly sunny skies will help keep our temperatures in the mid to lower 90s and lows in the mid to low 70s.
Rain stays in the forecast as we go into next weekend. Friday we will see on and off showers and storms throughout the day with partly sunny conditions. Highs will stay in the lower 90s while lows drop into the low to mid 70s. Saturday expect mostly cloudy conditions and scattered showers and storms once again. Overall, highs for the weekend will stay near average for this time of year in the lower 90s. Showers, storms, and cloudy skies stick around for next Sunday as well.
