Three people dead in Neshoba County fatal accident

NESHOBA COUNTY, Miss. (WTOK) -- Neshoba County authorities say three people have died after an accident Friday morning.

Vehicles involved in fatal accident

It happened on Highway 491 around 5:40 Friday morning. Authorities tell us an 18-wheeler headed north on Highway 491 collided with a car that was heading out from Road 767 in front of the 18-wheeler.

Three people in the car died in the crash. The driver of the truck, 30-year-old Alan Flake, of Philadelphia, was not injured.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol has identified the deceased as 30-year-old Cecilia Anna Cabrera, 37-year-old Larry Shane Thomas and 36-year-old Fredric Ronald Wallace, all of Philadelphia, Miss.

Several emergency agencies responded to the scene including Philadelphia Rescue 1, Tucker, East Neshoba, and North Bend Volunteer Fire Departments. Choctaw Police, Neshoba County Sheriff's Department, Mississippi Highway Patrol and Neshoba County EMS also responded to the scene.

The accident is still being investigated.
