Lots of sunshine today as high pressure has completely taken control of our weather and lower humidity has finally made it into our area. Highs have still been warm today, especially along and south of the Interstate 20 corridor, where the middle 80s have been reached. We will see a very cool night tonight as we drop into the 50s with clear skies. Highs will push 90 both Friday and Saturday with some locations reaching that mark not impossible, especially Saturday.
A cold front will be rolling into the area late Sunday and exit early Monday morning. The front will be mostly moisture starved, but it appears that rain will be falling apart as it arrives, so I will reintroduce a 10% rain chance for Sunday, but I do not believe many of us will see rain, and if we do, just a quick shower is all we can expect.
The main story with this cold front is that it is an actual cold front as temperatures will drop into the 50s to start our Monday with highs only in the middle 70s. We keep lows in the 50s all next week, but highs look to warm back to the 80s by Wednesday and keep warming next week as a ridge of high pressure returns to the area. How warm we get is still a question mark, but we have a week to watch that.
