Vice President Pence rallies with Michigan GOP primary winners, urges unity

GRAND RAPIDS, MI (Gray DC) -- Vice President Mike Pence is urging Michigan Republicans to get behind their new nominees.

At a Wednesday evening rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Pence told the crowd, “Tonight we send a message all across the state of Michigan that republicans are united to bring a victory to the statehouse and to the United States Senate.”

After delivering his remarks, Pence stood on stage with Bill Schuette and John James. Schuette is running for governor of Michigan, and will face Democrat Gretchen Whitmer in November. James will challenge incumbent Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) for her seat.
