DEMOPOLIS, Ala. Demopolis police are investigating an apparent homicide that happened Thursday.

In a press release, Police Chief Tommie Reese says a DPD Officer was attempting to serve papers at about 3 p.m. Thursday to someone on Queensbury Lane when a small child at the home told the officer someone killed his mom.

The release says the officer then went into the home and found a woman in the back bedroom with injures. Reese said there was a 4-month-old child in the bedroom as well.
