MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - The lady who drove her car into a home in Meridian Monday evening is going to be O.K., a family member tells Newscenter 11.

The family member says the woman had a seizure while she was driving and ran off the road. Her car crashed into a home on the corner of 37th Street and 40th Avenue. The driver and passenger were taken to a local hospital by Metro Ambulance to be checked for injuries.

The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. Monday. The nephew of the man who lives in the home tells Newscenter 11 his uncle had just left about 10 minutes prior to the accident. However, he says if his uncle had been home, he would've been in the exact room where the car hit the home. They all say they're thankful it wasn't worse.
