PERKINSTON, Miss. -- For the fourth time in seven seasons, the NJCAA National Championship resides in Scooba, Mississippi.

The top-ranked East Mississippi Lions are on top of the Junior College football world after winning Mississippi Bowl X over Arizona Western, 31-28. The win moves Buddy Stephens to 12-0 in Bowl games and State Championship games at East Mississippi.

The Lions struck first, with Mississippi Bowl Offensive MVP Lindsey Scott Jr. leading EMCC down the field, capping the drive off by hitting Dontario Drummond from 13-yards out for the first score of the night.

On the ensuing drive, Ty Williams returned an interception all the way for a touchdown to put the Lions up two scores. EMCC never trailed in Sunday's contest at Mississippi Gulf Coast.
