The Pat Harrison Waterway District is looking to expand Dunn's Falls Water Park. The 18-acre expansion would include adding RV hookups for campers.

Lauderdale County Supervisors Monday gave the go-ahead to look into buying that 18 acres. Officials say PHWD would pay for the rest of the expansion.

"We're tickled to death that they want to spend that money here," said Lauderdale County engineer Neal Carson. "And we're going to do what's necessary to get this land available for them to use."

Dunn's Falls is located in the southwestern part of Lauderdale County along the banks of the Chunky River.
