Ralph Ezell, 54, bass player for the country group, Shenandoah, died Nov. 30 in Pickstown, South Dakota.

Ezell had been with the group since it formed in the mid 1980s. Shenandoah won both Grammys and Gospel Music Association awards, as well as awards from the Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music, for its music.

The group scored thirteen #1 hits, including a string of five straight singles that hit the top of the charts.

The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel in Union. Burial will be in the Union City Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Joe Young and Jerry Ezelle will be pallbearers, along with Shenandoah members, Stan Thorn, Mike McGuire, and Jim Seales and former member, Marty Raybon.
