A 15-year-old musician will perform a concert Saturday night at a Meridian church.

Chad Melton learned the saxophone at age nine, but started playing piano by ear at age four.

The Meridian native has also just released his second CD, titled "BreakThrough".

People attending the concert at Abundant Life Tabernacle will hear Gospel music, with a blues and jazz feel.

"Music can be a way for you to express your feelings. It can bring you out of something you're going through. It can give you joy," said Melton. "And it's very powerful."

Chad is home-schooled now, and plans to be a minister of music.

The concert is Saturday at 7 p.m. at Abundant Life Tabernacle, 1921 Highway 19 North in Meridian. His CDs will be available there and at The Bible Bookstore.
