Anderson Regional Medical Center has been ranked in the top five percent of U.S. hospitals in patient safety, and in the top ten percent in patient experience.

These honors are a part of an analysis by the ratings company, HealthGrades.

Hospital officials say they are proud of these distinctions.

"It says that you will be utilizing the services of a hospital that you can feel extremely safe among the top five percent in America, and that this staff is going to give you a satisfying experience to the ultimate degree," said Anderson president and CEO Ray Humphreys.

HealthGrades releases the results of its independent studies annually.
