A 3500 square foot facility will be built on Old Mill Creek Road. It will have a physician and nurse practitioners, and also be home to a new pharmacy.
Anderson CEO Ray Humphreys said leaders in Enterprise asked Anderson to consider placing a clinic there.
"And as we evaluated the growth that's occurring in this community and the quality of life of this community and the great school system, we just knew that this is a primary spot for Anderson to extend its vision statement, which is to continue the heritage of health care and improving the quality of life of citizens in our area," Humphreys said.
"Until this point, people have had to drive to Meridian or to Quitman in order to get pharmacy care or medical care," said Jennifer Kasselman, of Enterprise, and a registered pharmacist. "And now this provides, right in their hometown, a place they can come to get their prescription medications and see a physician."
The new clinic and pharmacy are scheduled for completion in January 2011.
