Change Time, Change Batteries

Daylight savings time will end at 2 a.m. Sunday.

The Meridian Fire Department urges citizens to test smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms.

This means changing the batteries at least once a year and now is a good time to do that.

The Meridian Fire Department has a limited number of 9-volt batteries available at no charge, to help residents do this.
