The Girl Scouts want you to know that you have nothing to worry about from their cookies.
The scouts began their annual cookie sale in early January. It's the main fund raiser for all Girl Scouts, and the sales help them with all kinds of activities.
Officials with the local Girl Scouts say their two brands of peanut butter- flavored cookies have been tested, and they did not come from the factory where the tainted peanut butter was found.
"The Little Brownie Bakery, who supplies our cookies, has assured us that they do not purchase any peanut products from the company in question, so our Do-so-dos and Tagalongs were perfectly safe," said Linda Lauderdale.
Girl Scout cookies will be on sale until Mar. 26. They'll begin deliveries to people beginning Feb. 23.
